Good Barrel for Great Price

I purchased this barrel for a Fallout: New Vegas-inspired service rifle build and mounted it on an old Olympia Arms C7 upper. The fit and finish on the barrel itself is very good, with a very smooth exterior and good fitment on the FSB and handguard cap. The small parts for the FSB were preinstalled as well, which is very convenient. As for performance, this barrel did well with both M193 and M855 at 100 yards. I was able to get clover leaf shaped groups with just the iron sights at this distance, so I am more than satisfied as a casual rifle shooter. Also, there were no issues with chambering or cycling whatsoever. For a complete M16A1-style barrel assembly with a modern twist rate, this one cannot be beat for the price.

Excellent quality! The 1/7 twist is ideal for all available bullet weights.
I don't know who makes these but don't really care.
The profile is very slightly different from the early "pencil barrels" but that could have varied between manufacturers.
Excellent choice for your retro build.

Nice barrel and parts. Needed a good cleaning once received.
Headspace seemed too tight using a Forster 5.56 Go Gage(1.4636” gauge), which wouldn't allow my bolt to close. Talked with JSE, and they took it back to inspect using their gauges (PTG I think). Head-spacing passed and they successfully fired 2 rounds through it with proper extraction and ejection. Great customer service!! They sent it back to me with a clean bill of health. Since then, I have ordered another. Just for the heck of it, I tried the Forster gauge again. I had the same results as before. Maybe these barrels are made a little snug, but both barrels chamber various rounds fine. Built two nice rifles!! 4 stars for barrel, 5 stars for customer service!!
