3 Prong Flash Hider
A flash hider is a muzzle attachment for a firearm used to quickly disperse the burning gases emitted from the barrel so as to limit the amount of flash seen by the shooter. Not only do they serve a purpose, but they also give your AR a custom look. Recommended torque is 15-20 ft-lbs, the use of a crush washer is also recommended.

Purchased one of these a couple of years ago and was very pleased. Purchased again recently and was a little let down. First one was a decent phosphate/park, recent was a shiny nitride thing. Structurally the same though.

I bought some elsewhere that were very nicely blued and looked great, but looked terrible on the phosphate finished original barrels I was using. These are a shade lighter than the barrels but close enough and will be perfect for my application. I'm buying more.
