3 Prong Flash Hider w/ Crush Washer
A flash hider is a muzzle attachment for a firearm used to quickly disperse the burning gases emitted from the barrel so as to limit the amount of flash seen by the shooter. Not only do they serve a purpose, but they also give your AR a custom look. Recommended torque is 15-20 ft-lbs, the use of a crush washer is also recommended.

These are much better quality than what I remember from almost 5 decades ago in the military.
The first generation military ones had a reputation of folding over with the slightest impact which is why they upgraded to the “birdcage” style.
These look right but are MUCH tougher! One would need to smack one extremely hard to damage it.
I’m stocking up for future projects!

I bought some elsewhere that were very nicely blued and looked great, but looked terrible on the phosphate finished original barrels I was using. These are a shade lighter than the barrels but look perfect. I'm buying more.
