to military specifications. Ready to accept an A1- or A2-type front
sight post, spring, and detent of your choice. Hole for sling swivel
rivet is pre-drilled. Holes must be drilled for setscrews or taper
pins for precise fit to your gun. Matte black Parkerized finish

The One You Need For "Retro" Builds

If you are going to do a "Nam Era" retro build, THIS is the sight you need. This is the right height and diameter for the "pencil" barrel. It WILL need to be put on the barrel and the pinholes drilled. So if You do not have the tools or experience, you will need a REAL gunsmith to put it on for you. Which is not a bad thing when you could easily ruin $200 or more worth of stuff if you don't know what you are doing. To install it on the barrel will need to include the two taper pins, the barrel nut AND the front handguard cap you are going to use since once those pins go in, you will have a nightmare on your hands if you forgot to slip the barrel nut and handguard cap on BEFORE aligning, drilling and pinning.
