I started using surplus magazines about '68 when I decided I wanted a Colt AR 15, surplus mags were dirt cheap as the years went by. Now their's very few good surplus mags around. But for the range or just some relaxing time slinging lead downrange, these have not failed me yet, but as always, maintenance is king, even with polymer, just not so much.
