7.62 x 51 (.308) Black 20rd. Stainless Steel w/ Black Follower, Proprietary Black-T Coating
With the landscape in Law Enforcement and Military changing rapidly across the globe, many went looking for a heavier round with more stopping power. Welcome to the 7.62 x 51 (.308)! Due to the large and violent nature of this round, it was necessary to develop a Steel magazine that could survive the abuse inherent to this round. CPD® did just that, developing a magazine that can withstand the test of time. Incredible Mags!

Haven’t made it to the range yet but these are probably the best rifle mags I’ve ever owned. Easily better than the best dozen or so brands of 5.56 magazines. Not exactly a proper comparison but how many .308 mags are on the market?
They are gorgeous to look at with a finish that just begs to be touched. The follower is and super smooth but with enough clearance that sand and dust shouldn’t be a problem.
The only possible con I could imagine is they are steel so a little heavier than aluminum or polymer. That should be off set by longevity and durability. I’ll buy more as I can.
