great look to these sturdy little handguards. not a big deal but they did take a minor bit of fitting such as enlarging up the front opening, and trimming back the heat shields so as to not interfere w/ my M4 profiled barrel. looks great w/ a leapers UTG shorty A1 style stock. already thinking about getting another set. now if only JSE would make these in Mid-length!! (hint-hint!)

I have been looking for these carbine triangle hand guards for quite a while. Very nice repro that have the heat shields. Great Nam period look! Great fit, great price. JSE Surplus rang the bell on these!

I built up a 7.62 x 39 shorty with a 11.5 inch barrel and regular birdcage flashider. I wasn't sure what to use for the handguards. I just wanted to get away from the standard M4 look. I saw these while ordering something else from JSE. It was a case of "why not"? Especially since this is not a standard build that is trying to replicate an issued or pre-existing rifle model. It really worked out well! The handguards are very nice, they fit well, snap right in and feel solid. It gives the upper a really unique look, and I have been very pleased with it.

The handguards are fine but it took 12 days from the time I ordered them for them to arrive.Ordered on 7-9-16......Delivey 7-21-16. I have never ordered anything from a company anywhere in the states that took 12 days from oreder to delivery. I put these on JSE's 16" stainless pencil barrel. These handguards fit tight, feel solid, look great, and are very affordable. There isn't a better handguard for a lightweight carbine build.

Was wanting to do a "Colt 607" upper build for my pistol and this was just about perfect for it. For the price i couldnt pass these up. Comparing these to a vintage set of rifle length triangle handgaurds the plastic doesn't look to be as thick as them. But work great for that look on a carbine system. The only thing that didn't work as well, was where the heat shield pressed against the barrel (7.62x39 heavy barrel) causing it to not press together completely after the end cap was put on, but that gap is about 2 playing cards wide. Nothing that would be fully noticeable unless you pointed it.
