Of course it's possible to install / uninstall trigger guards with standard punches, (I've done it for years) but this makes it super easy / goof proof.
I saw a video of someone breaking a tab off a lower receiver and realized how possible that was. He bought this tool after he destroyed his lower. I decided it would be easier & cheaper to buy one than to take further risks.
Glad I did. Great tool!
